Lesson Plan for Education for Social Justice (Teaching Culture)

Student: Students of Senior High School
Place: at the school (class)

Activities:
- Divide student into group. Each group has four of five students
- Show pictures to students. The pictures are related to their own culture and other culture.
- The first picture shows about the girl who wearing clothes from other cultures (tank top)
- The second picture shows about the girl wearing her own clothes

How:
- Ask students to think about the pictures
- As students to come up their ideas and which one they will prefer

Discussion questions:
- If the students will say that the first is the good one, why?
- What is that mean to you?
- Why do you think some people prefer to wear clothes other than from our cultures?
- What happened with our own culture?
- What would change if we do not know or recognize our culture?

Writing Activity:
- Have students in a group write the idea from the discussion into a large paper
- Post it in front of class
- Put the title: “we love our culture”.
